Blessings Box donations are always appreciated. Hygiene and personal care items are welcome as well as non-perishable foods. Please place donations in the shopping cart in the narthex (church lobby). The need is great and your generosity matters.
If you have any Medicare OTC money that you won’t be needing, you can use that to purchase items for the Blessings Box. According to Google, Amazon has a link for that. Please check your specific plan and consider donating food and/or hygiene items.
This year changes to the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) went into effect. Before the new law, 48 million people were receiving benefits; now there are 21 million households receiving help. To receive benefits for more than three months, people from age 18 to 64 must be employed, working a minimum of 80 hours per month. And veterans and the homeless are no longer exempt from those requirements.
