Volunteers Needed: St. Martin’s Hosts Diocesan Convention Nov. 18-19

Each year, diocesan convention is hosted by a parish, and this year, St. Martin’s is the host! This year’s convention will be held from noon to approximately 8 pm on Friday, November 18 and from 8:00 am to approximately 3 pm on Saturday, November 19. All times are tentative as planning is ongoing.

Information about this year’s diocesan convention can be found on the diocesan website at https://www.diocesemo.org/2022-convention/

This is a chance to show our support for this important meeting in the diocese and showcase some of the interesting things going on in our parish life. We need some volunteers from the parish to help support diocesan staff as convention operates.

The main thing we need is people to serve as helpers from the time of registration to the close of business on Friday and Saturday. Teams of two will work best, and working in shifts would be great if we get enough volunteers. PLUS you get to see firsthand the wonderful things being done in the diocese!

Volunteers are needed on Friday starting at 11:00 am and on Saturday at 7:30 am to help direct people to the various areas we will use as meeting places at the hotel. The day for our volunteers will end at approximately 8 pm on Friday and at the close of business of Saturday. A schedule has not yet been published.

Mother Leslie has been attending planning for the convention, which is still in its early stages. Please contact the Rev. Shug or our parish administrator Janet Theiss if you are able to volunteer so we can assemble a list and coordinate tasks.
