More than 1 in 8 persons in Missouri is struggling to put food on their tables. The face of hunger is not clear. It could be your neighbor or ours. One in five children in Missouri lives in a household without adequate food.

Have you heard about a newly configuring network of Episcopalians interested in cultivating resilient communities through the growing and sharing of food? Now called “Cultivate: the Episcopal Food Network,” they will host their first conference on Saturday, October 14.

The Garden Committee will host a fundraiser on Sunday, July 30th to help defray the cost of the recent improvements to our garden. Won’t you please help support all of their hard labor by donating just $5 to this worthy project? The first 40 lucky people donating will receive a gift  right from our garden!

Thank you to all who helped this past Saturday with the installation of the water line to the Garden and with the chipping of the honeysuckle on the south and east sides of the property.

Tomato Plants Available This Weekend

The Garden Committee ran out of space in the Garden, and there are extra tomato plants available for purchase. They are inexpensive!

St. Martin’s Receives Diocesan Grant

The St. Martin’s Garden Committee recently received a much needed and much appreciated $350 grant from the Diocese of Missouri. This grant comes through the auspices of the Task Force for the Hungry Ministry which helps fund numerous food ministries throughout the Diocese of Missouri.
