Scout Sunday

This Sunday, February 11 at the 10:15 a.m. service

On Sunday, February 11, 2018 we will celebrate Scout Sunday. Some of our scouts will help lead during the 10:15 a.m. worship service. In addition, we will recognize those who have earned the Presidential Service Award.

The GOLD Presidential Volunteer Service Award is the highest volunteer service award that can be earned by youth. They are required to earn 100 hours of service in one year if they are under 16 years old, and those aged 16-18 must work 250 hours of service in one year. The award is accompanied by a letter from the President of the United States and a registration in the National Volunteer Service Directory. We are proud to have the following youth in our parish who have earned this honor:

  • Matthew Montgomery
  • Austin Riddle
  • Walker Trieschmann

We are also fortunate to have two members of our parish who will receive the Lifetime Presidential Volunteer Service Award. This requires over 4,000 volunteer service hours. The following adults will be recognized this Sunday for earning this Lifetime award:

  • Kim Montgomery
  • Ralph Trieschmann

Please join us this Sunday at the 10:15 a.m. service to celebrate Scout Sunday and congratulate these honorees!
