All Saints’ Sunday

All Saints’ Day gives us an opportunity to thank God for the saints who have gone before us. We will observe this special feast day on Sunday, November 5.

Youth Music Time

Sunday, November 12 we will celebrate St. Martin, our patron saint, and the choir will be singing a brand new composition entitled, “God is here with me” by Christopher Hogan. It is a beautiful song with a wonderful message for young people.

Screen Agers – A Special Screening

The Church of St. Michael & St. George is hosting a special screening and panel discussion of Screen Agers. The award-winning SCREENAGERS probes into the vulnerable corners of family life and the struggles regarding the digital world of our kids.

Book Club Meets October 24

The Book Club meets in the Packwood Library on the fourth Tuesday of the month. On October 24 they will discuss Just Mercy by Bryan Stevenson. Come join the discussion!

The St. Martin’s Men’s Group meets Saturday, October 14 at 9:00 a.m. for food and fellowship. We eat a man-cave type breakfast and follow with a open discussion of current events.

Celebrating 500 Years

Do you recognize the date October 31, 1517? It’s the day that Martin Luther published his 95 Theses, “Disputation on the Power and Efficacy of Indulgences,” a list of questions and propositions for debate. Luther hung the document on the door of the Wittenberg Castle church to announce the ensuing discussions he was organizing.
