St. Martin’s continues The Good Book Club during Easter season

St. Martin’s is pleased to be part of The Good Book Club, a church-wide program that invites all Episcopalians to read Luke and Acts during Lent-Easter 2018. Participants in The Good Book Club began reading Luke the Sunday before Lent, Feb. 11, 2018, and finish up the Book of Acts on the Day of Pentecost, May 20, 2018.

The book of Acts reflections continue in the May – July issues of Forward Day by Day. Pick up your copy in the Narthex now.

Then join a GOOD BOOK discussion group on Sunday morning in the parish hall at 9:00am; or Thursday morning at 11:am in the library.

“We are thrilled to invite thousands and thousands of people to enter the great narrative of Luke and Acts,” said the Rev. Scott Gunn, executive director of Forward Movement, the project initiator. “As people open their hearts and their minds to scripture, transformation follows. The Good Book Club could change thousands of lives, and, indeed, our whole church.”

Those wishing to join The Good Book Club can sign up for email updates on the initiative’s website (www.goodbookclub.org). The website also features printable lists of the daily readings, partner resource links, and more helpful information.
