Over 20,000 pennies were donated to Change the World project which purchased another Flock of Chickens and a Goat. This brings our total 2017 donations to Episcopal Relief and Development to 3 Goats and 2 Flocks of Chickens!
We will have training for all youth (grades 6-12) and adults interested in being an acolyte (crucifer and/or torch bearer). This will also be excellent refresher training.
After returning from the Youth Mission Trip in Arkansas, our youth started collecting coins to support St. Martin’s new “Change the World” ministry. In just seven weeks they collected $300!
This Sunday evening, July 29, 6:00 – 8:00 p.m., the youth of St. Martin’s will meet to work on the new “Change the World” Ministry.
The group from the Diocese of Missouri made it to Oklahoma and successfully finished the spirit-packed days alongside more than 1300 Episcopal youth and presenters from around the Church.
St. Martin’s has two youth representatives, Kiki and Austin, at the Episcopal Youth Event in Edmond, Oklahoma this week. At the EYE 2017 Opening Eucharist, Presiding Bishop Michael Curry gave a moving sermon.
Our Youth Group will travel to the Heifer International Ranch in Perryville, Arkansas on June 5-9 to experience simulated life in poverty-stricken areas of the world. Please keep our youth and their leaders in your prayers and wish them well this weekend.
